Broken Star Quilt-King

Sale!

$745.00

Measures 110″ x 114″ long.

The Broken Star design is a large lone star placed inside a curved set of similar diamond-shaped blocks that encircle it and form half-stars. The star pattern is of the oldest and most familiar of all the traditional quilt patterns, but great precision is needed to make all the star points meet and lie flat! The quilt includes an amazing 382 yards of hand-quilting by Mrs. Weaver. The Broken Star quilt measures generous enough in length to provide for a pillow tuck. Four miniature stars adorn the pillow top. On a king bed, the quilt will hang down about 16 inches per side.

Homemade quilts combine the warmth of a bed cover with a unique story told by the quilters from Lancaster County, PA. Every homemade quilt is as unique as the family, busy mother or Amish ladies group who uses a needle and thimble to thread stitch on the quilt. Some quilts involve hundreds of hours and thousands of stitches to create a unique patchwork quilt that will last for generations.

A quilt is not merely a comfortable bed cover: it is also a masterpiece of art. The crafters who create our quilts select top quality vibrant materials and organize them in an eye-catching masterpiece. Pick from our stock of over 2 hundred handmade quilts for a quilt that perfectly enhances your taste.

Although the fabric pieces are stitched by machine to make certain tighter stitching, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton materials compose the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched between those two layers, nonetheless, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting warranties both warmth and also excellent washing outcomes.

The majority of our quilts are large enough to take care of the need for a dust ruffle or pillow shams. Just as bed heights are different, each quilt's sizing differs. We publish the quilt's dimensions together with the estimated drop for you to compare to the overall size you need. It is important to do your measuring before buying!

Can you wash these quilts?

Fortunately, our quilts are certainly washable in a washing machine! We recommend complying with these standards for ideal handling results:

Did you know?

Every step of the quilt-making process requires a specific lady's expertise. Each of our ladies concentrates on either assembling or quilting. Therefore, a minimum of 2 ladies are involved in making each quilt. The ladies who sew the tops together concentrate on assembling particular quilt patterns. Considering that each quilter's stitches vary, just one lady does the quilting per quilt. This system enables each woman to become a specialist in her work.
