The cake tester broom recaptures the tradition of the old days. When the cake in the oven neared perfection, Grandmother first broke a bristle off the kitchen broom, inserted it into the baking cake for a moment, and finally removed it to see if the batter stuck to the bristle. When the bristle came out clear, the cake was ready. To preserve this memorable tradition, a local Amish man who produces brooms created the cake tester. Now the kitchen broom will keep its bristles while you keep Grandmother’s cake-baking tradition.
