The Eight Point Star Quilt is an intricate star pattern that traditionally allowed a woman to showcase her needlework skills. Precision is extremely important in piecing stars for a neat finished product! Out of the hundreds of star patterns, one of most popular is the Eight Point Star. It includes a scalloped border and is dated and initialed. On a king bed, this quilt will have 17.5 inches of drop per side.

Though the pieces of fabric are stitched by machine to ensure tighter stitching, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton materials compose the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched between those two layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting warranties both warmth and outstanding washing results.
The majority of our quilts are sizable enough to take care of the need for a dust ruffle or pillow shams. Just as mattress heights are different, each quilt's dimensions is different. You'll find we post the quilt's dimensions together with the calculated drop for you to compare to the sizing you need. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
