The Twinkling Star Quilt boasts a geometrical pattern with a star shining in the center surrounded by thirty smaller stars and a star on each corner of the quilt. The quilt has a straight-edge border and is hand-quilted by one lady which ensures even stitching. This quilt is initialed and dated by its quilter. On a king bed, this quilt will have a drop of 18 inches per side.

While the pieces of fabric are stitched by machine to guarantee tighter sewing, all the quilting is done by hand. 100% cotton fabrics compose the top and bottom of the quilt. The batting sandwiched between those two layers, however, is 100% polyester. This polyester batting warranties both heat as well as outstanding washing results.
Almost all of our quilts are generous enough to reduce the necessity for a dust ruffle or pillow shams. Just as bed heights are different, each quilt's sizing is different. We designate the quilt's measurements as well as the estimated drop for you to compare to the proportions you are looking for. I love my purple Lone Star Quilt…it was a big investment for me! I bought a Twin size that was listed as fitting a Queen and it did (using my ruffle). Thank you for having accurate measurements and good photos AND updated notes on availability. I found one a couple of years ago on another site out in PA and I ordered it and my card was charged. Then, I was called to say it wasn’t available and would be 6 months if I wanted it made. Your emails were great and was surprised by the fast delivery. PS. My grandma made lots of quilts – log cabin, lone star and many others about 25+ years ago….your quality is on par with hers.
